One thing which tends to be a hint is the difficulty levels marked by the color coded dots. This one is marked as "Easy" (Although I find M's distinction to differ from mine). Most likely though, if M marks something as Easy, you may not want to overthink the solution and simplify the approach.

Oh wow, I was way off. I got lost trying to map the locations to time zones, thinking they would map to A-X. I also got stuck on thinking of ET and figured the answer would be something like water or carbon.

Thank You "Quantum Duplicity" for allowing me to understand some of M's tricks. This time, I would not be fooled. Similar to how M used "duplicity" to refer to duplicate letters, I figured that's where he was going with mamy references to "center". Once I got the letters, it was easy to see the answer was "Puzzles".

Possibly. One could go on a reasonable tangent and get lost by over thinking this one. Sometimes the ones that are simple can be the most frustrating because you almost want it to be more difficult. And that is why this one is still just as formidable as the others.
