It took me a long time to realize part of the L is burnt out and therefore meant to represent '8'. I'm not sure why you would rely on a "black", unlit bar against a black backdrop for this puzzle in a print format - it seems to be making the puzzle unnecessarily difficult for difficulty's sake, as you can still solve the puzzle by deciphering the other letters and assuming the M is supposed to be a U.
